About Neil

I'm a Software Developer living in Seattle WA. I moved here around the middle of 2007, and am enjoying it immensely. I'm currently living in Capitol Hill. I lived in Belltown for my first four years, but it got a little crazy for my taste, so I moved east.

I worked at Amazon.com for 4 years, on the Search Engine Experience team. My most recent adventure is working at ARO. I can't talk much about what we are doing just yet, but suffice it to say that it was cool enough to lure me away from Amazon.

I went to school at the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign), where I spent 4 years getting a degree in Computer Science (COE) and a minor in Business. I met some cool people but came to the same decision my parents made 20+ years ago. The weather is way too harsh out there. Though a fair amount of the food makes up for it (I miss Papa Del's Pizza, though frozen Giordano's and Kylie's Pizza help). And the amount of amazing seafood helps.

I'm originally from Albuquerque, NM. I spent the majority of my formative years there and I try to make it back as often as I can.
